Description

"And that's where there used to be a small blue star, but then it disappeared one night..." Nikko pointed to a small clusters cluster of stars twinkling in the black sky.

"Mmmhmm..." Treff mumble under the brim of his hat. The two felines were laying in a field, trees surrounding them like an impenetrable wall. A cool breeze from the sea swept over them. The grass tickled under their fur as it swayed with the wind like a dance. Treff was practically asleep his mid day naps could only do so much until he collapsed from exhaustion.

"That star used to be yellow, and now it's red." Nico pointed to a completely different part of the sky where the stars were more sparse. Treff mumbled then turned over. "That star was the first one out when I first met you." Nikko grinned at her old fascination with his fedora. Treff didn't respond. Nikko paused and looked at him. Her gaze switched from confusion to realization then to sorrow.

The mysdrevious cat scooted closer and laid back down.

"Do you wanna know how I keep all my memories for such a long time?" Nikko whispered to him, as not to wake him up. "When I first woke up, I only saw the stars. I had nothing. No memories, no past, no goals... It was like throwing a kitten into the wild and expecting her to survive." Nikko laughed darkly. "The only reason why I survived was because I can't die..."

Nikko let out a sigh. "I made each star one of my memories... Each important memory shines up there in the sky. Some of them are full, while others are ready to become memories..." Nikko pointed to a yellow star in the sky. "That's today..." She pointed to another one. "That's three weeks ago when Oran told me that he hated the color periwinkle even though he kept saying it." Nikko dropped her paw to her side. "The problem is, My mind isn't built for immortality..." She looked up high in the sky. "And my mind is slowly going to start pulling back... It's going to go all the way back, even to my life, then snap forward like a rubber band." Nikko flicked her tail. "Then all the stars I have filled with memories will mean nothing... I won't remember you... Or Oran... Or Aire... I'll become an empty shell again..."

"Its happend so many times... My previous 'me' was really smart but I was paranoid... I feared everything..." Nikko tucked her tail invetween her legs. "She explained what was happening to herself in her last moments...." Nikko lowered her head. "And I remember..."

She let out a whimper and curled herself next to Treff. "I'm so scard..." Nikko's eyes became large puddles. "I don't wanna know..." she whispered as she rubbed her face into Treff's side. "I don't wanna know my past anymore..."

Drama drama...

Im gonna round up and say this is worth 10 XP

So... Really, what are you supposed to do in this situation? Nikko's terrified at her previous 'selves', her life before death, and what is going to happen to her. She is scared... But she doesn't want them to know... Should she try to fly away when the time comes? Should she stay? What should she really do?
